The Sniper antenna consists of modifying a crosshair antenna and adding director elements. It is the same principal you find in a Yagi antenna, but keeping the circular properties that benefit FPV. In short the director acts as a "lens" which raises the gain by 3.5dBi to reach 13.5dBi compared with a crosshair.
