This is a set of Lumenier 3x8x4mm Ceramic Ball Bearings. These are the same premium bearings found in the Lumenier RB2205C-12 2400KV SKITZO Ceramic Bearing Motors. These are Ceramic Hybrid Bearings with Stainless Steel races and Ceramic Balls. Fits most 22x sized mini motors like the Lumenier RX2204, RX2205, RX2206, FX2208.
About Ceramic Bearings
Ceramic Balls excel in applications where high loads, high speeds and extreme temperatures are factors, like what we see in high performance multirotor motors. Long life and the need for minimal lubrication make this material appropriate for extreme applications. Ceramic is non-porous, non-magnetic, non corrosive and lighter than steel. In ball form, ceramic balls are also harder than steel and because ceramic balls are non-porous they are virtually frictionless and capable of spinning faster than steel balls.
Ceramic bearings have a glass like surface with an extremely low coefficient of friction. Ceramic balls require less lubrication and have a greater hardness than steel balls which will contribute to increased bearing life. Thermal properties are better than steel balls resulting in less heat generation at high speeds.
